The Last Plight’ is an emotional documentary about the humanitarian crisis in Iraq after the horrific terrorists attacks of the Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL) on Iraq’s 2nd largest city, Mosul and the Nineveh Plains. It takes you on a journey between the refugees’ tents and make-shift camps while exploring the historical geopolitical conflict in Iraq.

Sargon Saadi is a freelancer cinematographer based in LA. Holding a cinematography degree from Columbia College Chicago he works at various film productions ranging from mainstream TV shows like “Chicago Fire” to independent films like “Gilgamesh”, “Gishru” and “The Last Plight”.
Saadi’s cinematographic versatility makes him take on every project with confidence and fresh mind. These skills help him tremendously in the project that he directs himself as well.
Saadi loves working on films overseas to experience new photographic possibilities. So far, he shot 4 films abroad. After living 8 years in Chicago, he now lives in Los Angeles.
