A Nigerian woman living in America, struggles to convince her traditionalist husband not to circumcise their ten-year-old daughter.

Solomon Onita Jr. is regarded as a young and up incoming Writer, Director, Editor, and Production Designer. As an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Arlington, Solomon produced two-thesis short films that played in several film festivals around the country. His recent film project Find Your Instrument has won several awards including Best Director at Film Outside The Frame. Solomon has acted as a producer and production designer on several short films and media projects. He recently directed a 15-minute short film entitled JOY about a Nigerian woman living in America, who struggles to convince her traditionalist husband not to circumcise their ten-year-old daughter. The film is set to premiere on HBO February 2016. Currently Solomon is a third year graduate student at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film Television program. At the age of 24 Solomon plans to finish his education and is currently in development for his first feature film.
