Tarek is a 6-year-old boy from Aleppo who also happens to be a superhero. At least back home he used to be. Now he has his biggest secret mission ever, can he still access his superpowers?

Born and raised in Turkey, Sinem Sakaoğlu studied at Hacettepe University. After living eight years in Los Angeles, she moved to Germany in 2004 and studied in animation-school-hamburg. Her first stop-motion short Eva (2005), which she co-wrote and animated, received Honorable Mention at Slamdance, 2007, and went on to screen at more than 15 festivals. Bo (2005), her 2D short animated film, was awarded first prize in Hamburg International Animation Awards and Merit award in 2D or not 2D Festival. She was the project manager and animation supervisor for the award-winning 2D theatrical feature The Three Robbers (2007). She directed the award-winning stop-motion feature Sandman (2010), which was theatrically released all over Europe. Sakaoglu currently works on her next stop-motion feature project Kara, whose script received Honorable Mention at German Animation Awards, and her first live-action feature project Crooked House. She lives in Hamburg.
