Can an old flip phone really be replaced by the latest smartphone model? The animation’s hand-drawn style complements the film’s message, can inevitable obsolescence be overcome with grace and wisdom?
Director/Writer/Producer: Jae Bae
Jae Bae is a filmmaker and a motion graphics artist, focusing on 2D animation. She received both her BFA in Animation (2012) and her MFA in Computer Art (2017) with a concentration in motion graphics, from the School of Visual Arts, New York City. Since 2007, she has been working in various art fields including cartooning, illustration, concept design, animation and motion graphics. Her artwork investigates the limits and possibilities of storytelling through these different mediums.
